Lake Wissota State Park! Chippewa Falls, WI

Scott walking over to see my sister and brother in law. Lots of wonderful trees between these sites.

We went to Irvine Park and Zoo. It is a wonderful place to take kids. Lots of fun and funny animals to see.

 My smiley girl.
A close-up of this gorgeous tiger. Glad there was a bit of glass between us though.

These lil donkey's were so happy to get out in the morning. The first thing they did is roll.
 Barred owl

This horse was soooo funny. it was eating and it took the time to stop and look up at me and --- look at the pic. below...I swear it smiled. We died laughing. Then Analise came with her camera and took a picture and it did the same thing. No noise, just all teeth.

This cave was used to store beer many moons ago.
Analise loved the beach and Logan was always gone biking or Geo-cacheing. He is nuts for Geo-cacheing.

We had awesome weather while camping, which always is a blessing. We did some biking, shopping, the zoo, hiking and plenty of eating. Chippewa Falls is a very nice area. Lake Wissota is 6,400 acres. Lots of pontoons. i sure wish i had one. :) Scott and i slipped away for a walk and Bloody Mary on Sat. evening. That is always a treat.  We would like to sneak away for a weekend up there again this fall. The hardwoods are divine.
This week is full of 4-H for the kids. Most projects are done, just last minute assembly of a couple of items.
Our county fair is small. Kinda a bummer, but it is what it is. I was in 4-H for many yrs., and i think it's good for the kids to do. Logan is losing interest in it, so we will see if he makes it through his senior yr.
Supposed to be around 90 most of the week here in MN. Crank up the air. Our big Grand Marais camping trip is coming up in a couple of weeks. We are all pumped for that one. We absolutely love it in northern Mn. If you ever get a chance to go to this area, go for it. We actually get to stay for 5 nights. That is my kind of camping. I feel like i can really relax and have fun too. We are going to pack up on day 6 and head for Ely, MN. I have heard so many nice things about Ely as long as we were only about 2 hours away we thought we would check out that area too. We only get to stay 2 nights, but at least we can see what it has to offer.
Enjoy some more summer friends! Kim
